Since most cooking equipment operates at higher temperature and pressure values and given what is prescribed for the proper functioning of our device, we do not recommend its use for professional cooking equipment and advise the use of devices recommended by cooking equipment manufacturers.
Washing with purified water will be gentler on the fabrics, laundry detergents will dissolve more easily, and the machines will not clog with deposits. This is due to the shape of the mineral in the scale, which, thanks to the galvanic purification, is contained in the water as aragonite (not as calcite). In a public laundry, the benefits are demonstrated by the reduced use of laundry detergents and gentler washing of fabrics, especially those that are washed very frequently (bed linen, towels).
The Eco Water device with a 1" diameter has a total length from thread to thread of 270 mm. Its dimensions are designed to operate reliably up to a flow rate of 3.5 cubic meters per hour, or around 1 liter per second. This size is suitable for connecting to the water supply for an entire single-family house, larger production, or humidification system. This device is classified as "Home," meaning it is intended for home use.
The hardness of water and its mineral values will not change under the influence of Eco Water MWD. The content of substances causing water hardness remains the same as before entering the device. However, the hardness of the water is "stabilized" after purification, and minerals will not be able to form deposits. It is a method of water purification known for more than 50 years, but nowadays it is not as widespread due to the dominant role of chemical forms of water purification.
After installation, the water supply system will no longer clog with the hidden ingredients of limescale, and the accumulated limescale will gradually wash away until it is completely removed from the inner surface of the pipes. A hygienic microfilm of aragonite will subsequently form on their inner side, which does not have the ability to form deposits, layers, and colonies of bacteria. The water supply pipes will extend their service life, and the water transported from them will have better quality. Appliances such as coffee makers and electric kettles will be easier to clean, and the process of removing limescale sediments will be much simpler. The device operates reliably in any location, the only limitation can be the dimensions of the installation space (if there is not enough space for connection). However, this can be overcome with the help of various installation kits according to the type of water supply system. It is best to install our device in a location where there is a temperature change, so that the galvanic elements can function effectively.
If the pool is filled with water that has been purified through Eco Water, the limescale will be softened to a lesser extent in the nozzles and the pump, as well as in the heating water in the pool heater. However, the limescale will not disappear from the water entirely; it will be present in a softer form, making it easier to remove any crystals and sediment from the limescale using the pool vacuum cleaner or removing them mechanically. As our device would be used in a closed water cycle, the increased pH of the water, sometimes up to a value of 8.6, should be taken into account. Therefore, we recommend installing our device along the water circulation path and running it only when necessary to remove limescale deposits that form on the walls of pools when filled with hard water.
Boiler scale causes faster wear and tear of the appliances in which it forms, thus shortening their lifespan. Eco Water does not change the hardness of the water, but under its influence, the boiler scale, which is primarily formed from calcite, loses its ability to soften, harden and stick, thereby contributing to the extension of the service life of appliances.
The impact of the Eco Water device cannot be compared to chlorination or to the effects of UV lamps for disinfection at medium pressure. In our practice, we have found that in purified water, the possibility of bacteria multiplying is lower. This is manifested in the weaker smell of stagnant water, as well as in the reduction of mold presence (in the bathtub, shower cabin, rubber non-slip mat in the bathtub). The nature of the thin layer formed by purified water is quite different from that of unpurified water. Since no deposits are formed, bacteria have no basis to cling to. All this effect is further enhanced by the disinfectant function of zinc, which is contained inside the Eco Water.
The Eco Water device is designed to change the shape of calcium carbonate into aragonite. This change is crucial for all the positive characteristics of purified water. It does not remove chlorine, nitrates, or other chemical compounds present in the pipes.
When the calcium carbonate present in the water is transformed into a new form (aragonite) with the help of Eco Water, its ability to form deposits is lowered in all parts of the water system, including those for wastewater. As a result, the wastewater network and the WWTP tank itself will have fewer deposits, making their maintenance much easier. Nothing in the water changes chemically; on the contrary, the need for household chemical products (detergents, cleaning products) will be significantly reduced. This will greatly improve the biological process in your home WWTP because it will have much less chemicals in the wastewater.
The Eco Water device requires minimal maintenance. It mainly consists of checking the seals of the connections, as well as checking the inside of the device. If a filter for mechanical waste is not installed in front of the device, we recommend checking the inside once a year. If any hidden ingredients have accidentally entered inside, it is enough to flush the pipe or rinse it with a water-vinegar solution as needed. If there is no problem with the ingredients, the interval of maintenance can be extended.
As an initial sign, you can observe the "behavior" of the water in the electric kettle. The deposits you are used to will no longer appear. The limescale sediments will become softer, no layers of calcite will form, and if you had to clean the kettle with vinegar every week before, this time a little vinegar once a month will suffice. With new constructions, the effect is immediate and is noticed in other facilities along the pipeline. Cleaning is easier, the deposits and the stickiness are removed without chemicals, and where the water flows (toilets, aerators, urinals, etc.), the self-cleaning effect is observed, so that the surfaces maintain their smoothness. The water in the kettles stays fresh for longer. With older systems that already contain various deposits, the cleaning process takes 3-6 months until the deposit from the pipeline is cleaned and the new, hygienically harmless Eco water microfilm is formed.
The Eco Water does not change the physico-chemical composition of water. Tests show that there is no measured difference in the physico-chemical properties of water before and after the device. Water hardness remains the same, but the form in which hardness manifests itself changes. This change, or stabilization of hardness, leads to a significant improvement in the hygienic quality characteristics of water and tap water.
Yes. Installation after the water meter in the water meter box is the easiest way to install the Eco Water. Neither the damp environment nor the potential flooding of the device from contact with groundwater will prevent the device from functioning.
For the proper functioning of the water meter, there should be a straight section of water pipe with a size of about 15 cm after it, in order to properly measure the water flow. With its design, the Eco Water can be installed directly after the water meter, as it pertains to the straight section of water pipe.
The Eco Water device is installed either after the water meter or after the main shut-off valve, respectively behind the pressure regulator at the main water supply point for single-family homes. It can also be installed directly in the water meter shaft. The device can be installed at any time, but it is still recommended to coordinate the installation with the plumbing technicians during new construction, so that the installation of the device can be done in one go, together with the water pipeline.
Yes, the Eco Water is installed at the main water supply point for hot and cold water to the home, usually after the water meter. The installation is not complicated, but sometimes the space (near the water meter) may be limited and installation may be more difficult.
